What is custom software development?
Custom software development is designing and building software for one business or one idea, instead of buying an app made for everyone. It's built around how you work and connected to the tools you already use, so you stop working around your software.
What kinds of software can you build?
Almost anything a business or a new product needs. Quoting tools, CRMs, job management, sign-in registers, client portals, booking and ordering systems, stock control, staff portals, document management systems, dashboards, AI agents and full SaaS platforms. If it isn't on the list, ask. Most of what we build is one of a kind.
Can you build marketplaces, booking platforms and customer apps?
Yes. We build platforms where customers book, order, buy, sell or hire, and apps your customers use with your name on them. They connect to your payments, stock and back office.
Do I need an existing business to get something built?
No. We work with founders and first-time builders too. Bring the idea, and we'll help you shape the first version and test it before the full build.
I'm not technical. Can you still help?
Yes. Most people we work with aren't. You explain what you want in plain English, and we handle the technical side, explaining each step as we go.
I've got an app idea. How do I get it built?

How much does custom software cost in Australia?
It depends on what you need. The biggest factors are how many features and users it has, how many systems it connects to, whether it includes AI, and how much design work is involved. A single integration or simple tool is a small project. A full system or platform is a bigger investment, usually built in stages so you get value early. After a free conversation, you'll get a clear quote.
Can custom software qualify for the R&D Tax Incentive?
Some software projects may qualify for the Australian Government's R&D Tax Incentive, usually when they solve a technical problem that hasn't been solved before. It depends on your project and business, so check with your accountant or an R&D tax adviser. We can provide the technical records they ask for.
How long does it take to build?
A simple tool or integration can be ready in weeks. Bigger systems are built in stages, so you're using the first part while the rest is built.
Should we choose custom or off-the-shelf software?
If one popular app does almost everything you need, use it. If you're paying for several apps that don't connect, or bending your business to suit software, custom makes sense. Often the best answer is both, and we'll tell you honestly when we first talk.
Can you connect to the software we already use?
Yes. We connect to most business software that has an API, including CRMs, accounting, job management, email and file storage. Common ones include Xero, MYOB, Pipedrive, HubSpot, ServiceM8, Buildxact, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Who owns the software and the data?
You own your data, always. Ownership of the software itself is agreed in writing before we start, so there are no surprises.
Do you build mobile apps?
We build web apps that work on any phone, tablet or computer, and can be added to your home screen like an app. If you need an app in the App Store or Google Play, we'll tell you in our first conversation whether it's worth it.
Is our data secure?
Yes. We use secure hosting, encrypted connections, logins with the right access for each person, and regular backups.
Can you add AI to our software?
Yes. AI can read documents, answer questions from your own information, draft quotes and follow-ups, and flag problems early. A person stays in control of anything important.
What is an AI agent?
An AI agent is software that works through a task on its own, like sorting emails, chasing leads, shortlisting applicants or reading invoices. It uses your information and follows your rules, and a good one checks with you before doing anything important. We design, train and build custom AI agents for Australian businesses.
What's the difference between an AI agent and a digital employee?
A digital employee is one of our ready-trained AI agents for a common role, like answering calls or following up leads. A custom AI agent is built and trained for a job that's specific to your business. Many businesses use both.
What happens after launch?

Can you take over or fix software someone else built?
